Organizations allow you to create a single authentication unit on the Radius server. Therefore, users belonging to the same realm/organization will be able to roam between the different sites belonging to the same organization, so it is advisable for clients with different locations to group them in the same organization.

The same partner can have several organizations that will be associated with Clients/Projects. Each organization can be configured independently and different topologies can be defined, as well as all their associated elements. Each organization has a licence associated with it, which determines the available Octopus Platform modules, as well as the volume of associated Access Points or rooms.

In the Administration section of the platform you can view the information of all the organizations.

Add or edit a organization

Possibility to create a new organization by pressing the button  . Select the desired option. In case of a organization that has already been created, click on the edit button .

at the time of creating a new organization it is necessary to configure the following parametres:

  • Name: organization name

  • Description: organization description.

  • Location code: A code used in the Locations ID that are created inside the organization.

  • Tenant: Identifier as partner, to which the organization belongs

  • Radius server: to which the authentications petitions of the users will be sent.

  • Realm: Identity code of the organization, it must have between 6 and 12 characters. All user sessions will be tagged with this realm.

The association of the Locations inside a organization must be realize at the moment of the creation of the Location and it can't be modify once it is created.

Once a Location is created and asociated to a organization it is possible to consult the list of all the Locations that belong to the organization selected in the same section.

  • Distribution Parnter: Commercial transaction intermediary.

  • Locations: Number of locations associated to the project.

  • Creation: Creation date.

  • License Status: Status of the organization's licence and, in case it is "in use", its expiry date.

  • View license: By clicking on the icon, you can view the organization's license information:

    • Maximum number of available APs.

    • Maximum number of rooms available for the organisation.

    • License status.

    • License start date.

    • End date of license.

    • Modules contracted for the organization.

    • Activity: Updates and status changes associated with the license.

  • View organization details: By clicking on the icon, you can view information about the organization:

    • Name of the organization.

    • Description of the organization.

    • Partner to which the organization belongs.

    • Locations associated with the organization.

The association of locations within each organization is done at the time of the creation of each location and cannot be modified once it has been created.
