Network Profile

Available with the module Octopus Guest

The Network Profile can be viewed from the Usage Reports > Network Profile menu. This section shows statistics regarding the use of the WiFi network of the selected element, which can be a Location, WLAN or in aggregate by Location Groups, WLAN Groups or Organizations.

Operations

Context Selector

Selector to choose the location for which you want to view the data, or you can select groups of locations or groups of WLANs to view aggregated statistics. To change the selector, click on the location logo in the upper left corner of the section:

Data selector

It allows us to select the dates on which we want to observe the data and statistics. There is the possibility of quick selectors for the last 7 days, 14 days or 30 days; or in a customized way, selecting the start and end date.

Export data

The data can be exported in Excel format by clicking on the button . There is another way to export this data through API REST.

Each of the data that can be displayed is detailed below:

Peak hour

Time at which the highest number of connected users occur according to the selected date range. The widget can be configured to display:

24-hour format.
Am/pm format.

Off-peak hour

Time at which the lowest number of connected users occurs according to the selected date range. The widget can be configured to display:

24-hour format.
Am/pm format.

Devices

Data of connected devices according to the selected date range. The widget can be configured to display:

Average: Average number of connected devices.
Maximum: Day with maximum average number of connected devices.
Total: Total number of connected devices.

Connection time

Displays the average connection time per device in the selected date range. The widget can be configured to display:

Average: Average connection time per device
Maximum: Day with maximum average connected time per device.
Total: Total average connected time per device.

Download traffic

Displays download traffic data for the selected date range. The widget can be configured to display:

Average: Average download traffic per device per day.
Maximum: Day with maximum average download traffic.
Total: Total download traffic in the selected date range.

Upload traffic

Displays downstream traffic data in the selected date range. The widget can be configured to display:

Average: Average upstream traffic per device per day.
Maximum: Day with maximum average upstream traffic.
Total: Total upstream traffic in the selected date range.

Connected devices

This graph shows the flow of connections occurring in an hourly period, along with the general data for each type of connected device, this data corresponds only to the selected date range.

In the graph we can visualize the simultaneous devices by sections, clicking on a specific hour we can visualize the average, maximum and minimum of each one of them.

It is possible to configure the widget of the data below the table to display:

All devices

Data of connected devices in the selected date range.

Average: Average number of connected devices per day.
Maximum: Day with maximum average number of connected devices.
Total: Total number of connected devices.

New devices

Data of new connected devices.

Average: Average number of new devices connected.
Maximum: Day with maximum average number of new devices connected.
Total: Total new devices connected in the selected date range.

Recurring Devices

Data from connected devices.

Average: Average number of recurrent devices connected.
Maximum: Day with maximum average number of recurrent devices connected.
Total: Total recurrent devices connected in the selected date range.

Usual Devices

Data of usual devices connected in the date range:

Average: Average of usual connected devices.
Maximum: Day with maximum average of usual connected devices.
Total: Total usual devices connected in the selected date range.

Connection time

This graph shows the average connection times per day along with general data by type of connected devices, this data corresponds only to the selected date range.

It is possible to configure the widget of the data below the table to display:

All devices

Connection time data of all devices.

Average: Average time of connected devices.
Maximum: Day with maximum average connected time per device.
Total: Total average connected time per device.

New devices

Data on connection times of new devices.

Average: Average connection times of new devices.
Maximum: Day with maximum average connection times for new devices.
Total: Total average connected time for new devices.

Recurring Devices

Data on connection times of recurring devices.

Average: Average connection times of recurring devices.
Maximum: Day with maximum average connection times of recurrent devices.
Total: Total average connected time by recurrent devices.

Usual Devices

Data on connection times of usual devices.

Average: Average of usual devices connected.
Maximum: Day with maximum average of usual devices connected.
Total: Total average connected time by usual devices.

Download traffic

This graph shows the downstream traffic consumed by hourly periods, together with general data by type of connected devices; this data corresponds only to the selected date range.

All devices

Downstream traffic data consumed by all devices:

Average: Average downstream traffic consumed per day.
Maximum: Day with maximum average downstream traffic consumed.
Total: Total download traffic in the selected time period.

New devices

Traffic data consumed by new devices.

Average: Average downstream traffic consumed per day by new devices.
Maximum: Day with maximum average download traffic consumed by new devices.
Total: Total download traffic on new devices for the selected time period.
