Portal Campaings
Available with the module Octopus Business, in addition to Octopus Guest
The platform allows the management of campaigns during the process of login at the captive portal, so that they are executed in an automated way according to different configuration criteria. To manage these campaigns within the AdinWifi Module > Portal Campaigns. It is possible to perform several actions
List Portal Campaigns
It is possible to see the list of campaigns created for a simple and intuitive administration. It is also possible to filter the list by the content of the different columns.Â
The content of every column is:
Priority: Priority to run the campaign in case several overlap.
Preview image:Â Preview of the content in case of gallery image. In case of external link or survey, a special icon will appear.
Deployment:Â Group of WLAN / WLANs or WLAN where the campaign is applied
Owner:Â Defines the permissions with which the campaign can be viewed.
Dates:Â Validity dates of the campaign.
Impressions:Â Impressions in real time that the campaign has had.Â
Hits:Â In case the campaign has hyperlinks, times it has been pressed.
Activation:Â Activation criterion, in this case before or after the login.
Individual operations:
Disable: Disables the campaign.
Delete: Delete the campaign from the database.
Clone: Clone the campaign and it is possible to modify the configuration and save it with another name.
Edit: Possibility of modify the configuration of the campaign.
It is possible to filter the list by the contents of each column.
Add or edit Portal Campaign
It is possible to create a new capaign by clicking on the create buttom , in case that the campaign is already created, clicking on the edit buttom. Bellow it describes the differents options to configure every one of the campaigns:
Name:Â Identification text field for each campaign.
Owner:Â Field indicating in which Organization, Locations Group or Location the campaign is associated, the campaign can be modified by users who have access permission to the selected element.Â
Priority:Â Sets the priority or importance that determines which campaign will be displayed in case of overlapping of several. In case of several overlapping, each one will be assigned a percentage of possibility to appear in proportion to the priority. For example, if 3 campaigns with priority 5, 3 and 2 overlap, the first one will have a 50% chance of appearing, the second one a 30% chance and the third one a 20% chance. In the campaign simulator you can visualize the overlapping campaigns and their priority.
Deployment:Â Determines the WLANs in which the campaign will be active. You can select individual WLANs or a group of WLANs created in the Settings section.
In the configuration section of the popup there are different configuration options.
Activation:Â determines when the campaign will be shown. There are two configuration options:
Before user login:Â the campaign will be displayed before the validation of the user in the captive portal.
After user login: the campaign will be displayed after the user validation in the captive portal.           Â
pop-up style: sets the style of the pop-up that will show the promotional image. Depending on the above point, one or the other will be available.
Authentication lock:Â It sets an image before the login and does not give the user any option to validate.
Countdown: Allows you to set a timer so that the popup closes automatically.
Still image: A still image is displayed and will not be closed until the user presses the image or button.
Survey:Â It allows to link a micro-survey to the campaign either before or after the login.
URL:Â Allows you to add a URL in case you want to set up a hyperlink.
Â
Hyperlink: Allows you to choose the way in which the user can access the configured URL.
Full image: The user can access the configured URL by clicking on the full image.
Button: Allows you to add and fully configure a button through which you can access the configured URL.

Audiences: In the Audience section it is possible to select the previously configured audiences by clicking on the create button, as long as the audiences are associated with the same owner as the campaign.
Activation date:Â Determines the dates for which the campaign will be active and may therefore be viewed by users.
Scheduling / Weekly planning: Allows to establish both the schedule and the days of the week in which the advertising campaign will be active and may therefore be viewed by users Â
Contents by language:Â Configuration of the contents that will appear in the pop-up for both mobile and desktop formats. You can also set a different image for each language available in the captive portal. Two ways to link the image:Â
Image Gallery: Select an image from the gallery, where it can be added and deleted.
Extern URL:Â Â Obtain the image from an external URL.
There is the possibility of know how will be shown the campaign to the final user before save it, clicking on the icon  .

Simulate Portal Campaigns
It is possible clicking on the buttom . Designed to simulate the configuration and visual aspect by location/s and from the end user point of view.  The different simulation options that the Octopus Platform allows are described below.
WLAN / Red: Allows to select the differents WLAN of the client to check the active campaign in each one.
Time and date:Â Time and date in which you want to simulate the display of the campaign.
Activation:Â You can select the time of activation, before or after the login.
