Octopus Wifi v2.17 Release Notes

On May 03, 2023, Blue Octopus releases the upgrade to Octopus Platform version 2.17. The upgrade window will be between 9:00 and 9:30 and in principle does not affect the service.

NEW FUNTIONALITIES

Radius update to v3: the Radius base used by Octopus (freeradius) has been upgraded from version 2.4.x to version 3.0.x maintaining customizations and improving performance.

Email validation in "Registration" access method: the functionality to ask for verification of the email entered in the "user registration" access method has been added, as well as the possibility to provide a wifi trial period to perform such validation.

Customizable registration form extra fields labels on platform: The existing tag customization in the captive portal can be added to the ticket generation from the Octopus platform to maintain consistency.

Improvements in customizable registration form extra fields labels: improvements and corrections have been made to the integration made in the previous release.

FIXED BUGS

Several bugs fixed: corrected several errors related to incorrectly performed queries/checks in co￳digo.
