Octopus Wifi v2.16 Release Notes

On April 11, 2023, Blue Octopus releases the upgrade to Octopus Platform version 2.16. The upgrade window will be between 9:00 and 9:30 and in principle does not affect the service.

NEW FUNTIONALITIES

Customizable registration form extra fields labels:from now on the labels of the extra fields of the access methods can be customized by the user for each of the languages available in the captive portal.

Allow parameters to be sent in JSON format in REST API POST requests:JSON requests are now supported along with the Forms already supported in the Rest API.

Enable form login in Omada v5: since v5.3.1 of Omada Controller, sending credentials without Ajax is again allowed, which improves compatibility and allows not having to share domains between Omada and Octopus and makes integration easier.

FIXED BUGS

Several bugs fixed: corrected several bugs related to incorrectly performed queries/checks in code.

Error creating users: added a loading layer that was missing in the list of users that made it possible to try to create users without everything being loaded, causing errors in the creation.

Add year of last connection in status panel: only appeared DAY / MONTH, causing that the year of the last connection was not really known.

Accounts confirmation error: if the option to register users in local accounts was not active, the self-registration confirmation e-mail was not sent and the account appeared as confirmed directly.
