On November 14, 2023, Blue Octopus releases the upgrade to Octopus Platform version 2.20. The upgrade window will be between 9:00 and 9:30 and in principle does not affect the service.
NEW FEATURES
Heatmaps and device usage reports by zones: this new functionality is enabled in all locations, allowing the uploading of location maps as well as the positioning of the APs enabled for the location on these maps. Statistical data is collected per AP and presented in the new enabled reports, using the maps and the APs positions, data of accumulated connection times, users per hour, concurrent users... This new functionality is available under new licensing.
GrandStream integration: new hardware equipment approved with Octopus Wifi platform.
NRS SMS platform integration: at the request of one of our customers, the "NRS" SMS sending platform is now available for configuration and use.
Expanded functionality for commercial communication checks: at the request of one of our customers, the functionality of the texts that can be configured for commercial and third party checks on the portal has been expanded, allowing the inclusion of static html, for example, to configure links.
Improvements in the integration with Omada: due to an error in the Omada devices by which the https certificate does not load properly and therefore when connecting to the portal a security error appears, the integration is improved due to the impossibility of fixing it directly in the Omada device to prevent the portal user from seeing this error.
Changes in Facebook and Twitter login: Facebook and Twitter integrations are updated with the new APIs published by these services to be able to continue offering the login in the portal with these platforms.
BUGS FIXED
Error redirection to the landing page: an error has been corrected in the landing page of the portal that caused it to remain blank and the final redirection to the page configured by the client was not performed.
Error loading Google Maps maps: an error with the Google Maps API was corrected due to an update of the same that caused the map to be blank when editing the locations, losing the ability to modify the address of the location.
